1. Overview

Computer Science 10 (NEB) is an educational mobile application designed to help students prepare for the SEE (Secondary Education Examination) in Nepal. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Summary: We use Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Analytics/Crashlytics) to provide core features like login, forum posts, and performance analytics. We also show ads using Google AdMob. We do not sell your data.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information (via Firebase Authentication)

When you sign in with Google or Email, we collect your basic profile details from Firebase Authentication: your name, email address, and profile photo. We do not access or store your password.

2.2 User-Generated Content

If you post questions, answers, comments, or upload content in the Discussion Forum or profile sections, that content is stored in Firebase Firestore/Storage and associated with your account.

2.3 Usage & Diagnostics

We may collect non-identifying usage data (e.g., feature usage, session duration, device info, crash logs) via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to improve stability and performance.

3. How We Use the Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share data as needed to operate our services (e.g., with Firebase/Google) or as required by law.

4. Advertising (AdMob)

We display banner and interstitial ads using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect identifiers (such as the Advertising ID) to deliver and measure personalized or non‑personalized ads according to your device settings and regional regulations (e.g., GDPR/EEA, CCPA/US).

5. Data Security

We rely on Google Firebase infrastructure, which employs strong security practices. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in secure data centers. We apply access controls to limit who can view or modify data.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the app’s features or as required by law. You may request deletion of your forum posts or profile by contacting us (see Contact Us).

7. Your Rights & Choices

If you are in a region with specific privacy rights (e.g., EEA/UK/California), you may have additional rights such as data portability or the right to object to processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Children’s Privacy

This app is intended for educational purposes. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child provided personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

9. International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country. By using the app, you consent to such transfers in accordance with applicable laws.
